Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Management Consultant to join our Corporate IT team in our Canton, MA office or remotely nationwide. The Asset Manager Consultant will manage the hardware and software asset management tool and the processes that oversee every aspect of hardware and software management. Hardware and software requests are reviewed and approved by this role. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance with software license agreements, optimizing software usage, ensuring accurate and up to date asset information and reducing costs through strategic asset management practices. Maintaining license compliance and audit readiness are required as part of the lifecycle stages of software and assets. This person has medium to advance knowledge of the Microsoft licensing models on all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects within the organization, including technology refresh, OS upgrade which includes, scope, schedule, budget, and product rollout.
  • Build, maintain, and regularly update the company’s hardware and software inventory.
  • Provide hardware and software solutions to meet end-users’ needs, ensuring solutions meet corporate security standards.
  • Establish and update hardware and software lifecycle processes from acquisition to disposal.
  • Implement automation and workflow improvements to streamline software procurement, deployment, and retirement processes.
  • Work with hardware and software partners and internal teams to help negotiate favorable terms with software vendors to optimize licensing and hardware agreements and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Contracts team to meet all software annual renewals, working with parent company as needed.
  • Analyze software usage data to identify opportunities for license optimization and cost reduction
  • Monitor software license usage and ensure compliance with license agreements by conducting audits and assessments to verify license entitlements and usage.
  • Stay informed about licensing models, pricing structures, and product roadmaps for key software vendors. For Microsoft specifically, have a very strong understanding of the license structure, volume discounts, cross dependances and mechanics.
  • Lead a resource to ensure the asset management workflow requests are executed for customers.


Requirements:

  • Extensive understanding of project management principles.
  • Required to consult Online Microsoft licensing guidelines for updates on current plans and EOL software installed on Intact devices. Internal Intact asset policies and procedures documentation.
  • Consult and use ISV software license agreements and guidelines as well as Asset management software instructions
  • Must have Advanced Knowledge of MS Software Licenses
  • Should have Good Knowledge of Asset Management Lifecyle Best Practices and Strategies
  • Experience with Data analytics, using Microsoft Excel and Access databases, for decision-making and reporting.


Education and Experience:

  • Financial / Budget experience important
  • 5-7 years Asset Management experience required
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience


Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $105,000 – $139,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $122,000 -$142,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include: 401(k) savings and annual contributions of up to 12% of annual salary, competitive paid time off programs, medical, vision and dental plans, mental health support programs, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave and a variety of voluntary benefits.
