The Tax Analyst will be an integral part of the Company’s tax compliance process in support of the North American and Latin American business structures. The Tax Analyst will also have an opportunity to assist on various special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Preparation of annual reports and business licenses.
• Assist in the preparation of income tax returns.
• Preparation of sales/use and property tax returns.
• Assist in unclaimed property tax issues.
• Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision .
• Provide third party tax consultants various financial data and resolve billing
issues.
• Contact various tax authorities to address and respond to tax notices.
• Perform processing of tax payments and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in accounting or related field (required).
• Minimum 1 year of tax experience in a Corporate Tax Department (required).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (required).
• Ability to work in stressful situations and with constant deadlines (required).
• Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
• SAP experience (preferred).
Key Results:
• Work with the global Accounting and Finance Teams to master the financial
reporting systems that are key to the tax compliance and reporting process.
• Ensure responses to tax notices are timely and accurate.
• Perform payment processing and administrative functions of the Tax Department.
Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
Compensation: $70,280 - $75,000/year.
