Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force. Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge. Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oracle HCM Transformation Team. The group includes former HR leaders and management consulting executives passionate about helping customers plan for and achieve digitally-enabled HR transformations fueled by modern practices and great employee experiences. The team is accountable for engaging with clients throughout the sales cycle to share Oracle thought leadership and bolster relationships to advance Oracle's Cloud HCM market share.

The team reports to the GVP of HCM Transformation and the SVP of North America Application HCM Sales. In collaboration with peers, this team drives HCM bookings, partner with product development accountable for client advisory boards and customer success, and with marketing colleagues who develop messaging and client events throughout the ecosystem.

In addition to supporting sales and our customers, the team develops programmatic thought leadership that can be shared at scale in the market. The thought leadership is shared in one-on-one client settings before and after a formal sales cycle, during client engagement opportunities throughout the sales cycle, and at HR industry events (i.e., Peer 150, Evanta, etc.) throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Growth

  • Utilize your energy, experience, and passion for delivering presales support for our dynamic HCM cloud solution as a strategic partner for our industry sales teams.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key HR leaders in client or prospect organizations.
  • Interact with C-level executives, understand their issues and business requirements, and laying out a road map of leveraging Oracle's products and services.
  • Act as a trusted customer advisor; share best practices; listen to concerns or challenges; help solve business problems.
  • Stay connected with customers to help align their business strategy to innovation and new offerings; provide ongoing touchpoints to make them feel valued and supported.
  • Connect customers to broaden the community, enhance learning and increase reference opportunities.
  • Support client needs at various stages of the client/sales lifecycle to ensure mutual success, drive HCM growth and increase the number of client references.


Internal Enablement

  • Aid account teams at Oracle to influence our overall approach to a client’s needs and drive the growth of Oracle Cloud HCM and other Oracle products and services.
  • Educate and coach internal sales team members on HR trends to increase awareness of customer needs and drive relevant buyer dialogue.
  • Provide HCM subject matter expertise to enhance marketing and messaging efforts.
  • Interview candidates, as needed, for various Oracle HCM positions to ensure culture and client fit.
  • Collaborate across the Oracle ecosystem; Sales, Product Development, Industry/Enterprise Transformation teams, and Marketing to enhance the client experience and drive revenue.
  • Advance the team’s offerings by creating scalable, repeatable services and supporting collateral.


Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on the market and economic and social trends. Connect trends to practices and Oracle products.
  • Produce scalable intellectual property and thought leadership.
  • Foster conversation, facilitate formal discussions and participate in panels at industry events; effectively present HCM trends and best practices to various audience sizes in person and virtually.
  • Partner with Marketing and Events to develop meaningful content and experiences for customer gatherings.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years in HR leadership and management consulting roles with an emphasis on business transformation
  • Broad and varied experiences with multiple aspects of HR, including Shared Services, HR Technology, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Recruiting, Performance Management, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, and Analytics.
  • Experience/participation in HCM cloud evaluations and implementations, including familiarity with consulting.
  • Proven ability to influence sales and help grow revenue.
  • Public speaking know-how in large and highly-visible forums.
  • Established background influencing senior executives; ability to present to C-Suite executives.
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and group facilitation skills.
  • BA/BS degree, at a minimum – advanced degree preferred.
  • Up to 50% travel required across North America

US: Hiring Range: from $140,000 - $232,300 per year. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 50 / 50 - 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
