Senior Backend Engineer

At Cheqroom, we are on a mission to redefine Enterprise Asset Management, and we need a passionate Senior Software Engineer to help us build cutting-edge technology that shapes the future of this field. You will play a key role in the full product lifecycle across our tech stack. We’re looking for someone who has experience solving complex challenges while developing scalable software architecture!

As part of the product and engineering team, you design, build, ship and iterate on great new features and improvements for brands we look up to.

What will you be doing?

• Design and architect backend systems using modern design patterns and languages.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with development managers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify business requirements, design solutions, and implement code, including database design.
• Own Your Work: Independently break down, estimate, design, plan, and deliver medium to large-sized features, serving as the subject matter expert on one or more components of our system.
• Ensure Quality: Implement high-quality solutions by writing unit tests and contributing to integration, load, and user acceptance tests.
• Support and Resolve: Identify, research, and resolve performance and production issues to support smooth operations.
  
• Lead and Communicate: Lead technical discussions and stand-ups, coordinate work with other teams, and effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Guide and Mentor: Assist junior engineers with tasks and small projects, guiding them in planning and sizing their work.
• Document and Share: Regularly document and communicate progress on design and code with your team members.
• Adapt and Achieve: Use Agile principles to autonomously achieve goals and adjust plans as needed to drive project success.
