Position Overview:
As a Field Technician, you will assist with all Water and Sewer infrastructure needs. To include but not limited to: leak repair, line replacement, lift station rehab, grass cutting, equipment operating, digging with a shovel, electrical controls, and lifting heavy objects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
· Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the equipment and performing field duties. Comply with environmental regulations and company policies.
· Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with plant supervisors and team members regarding any issues, adjustments, or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in water treatment or related fields is advantageous.
· Proven experience operating dredge units or heavy equipment in water treatment facilities, construction, or similar settings.
· Familiarity with water treatment processes and the handling of chemicals for treatment purposes.
· Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and materials.
· Basic understanding of sludge removal and disposal procedures.
· Proficiency in remote control operation and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new equipment and technologies.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and safety awareness in a field environment.
· Ability to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing work schedules when necessary.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
