Your missions

Color is a health technology company that makes population-scale healthcare programs accessible, convenient, and cost-effective for everyone. We work with employers, labor unions, national health initiatives, governments, and public health institutions to provide the tools for preventive health and disease management, including cancer early detection, screening, and care management.

Apply to join Color and do the most meaningful work of your career. If you are not sure that you’re 100% qualified but are up for the challenge - we want you to apply!

In June 2023, Color and the American Cancer Society (ACS) introduced a cancer screening and prevention program for employers and labor organizations, combining the ACS’s expertise in cancer screening, prevention, and risk reduction with Color’s leadership in population-scale healthcare delivery. Since announcing our partnership with the American Cancer Society, our program has expanded to support diagnosis management, cancer treatment and care, and survivorship. Through our multidisciplinary Virtual Cancer Clinic, Color is: helping employees and members diagnose cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage; caring for patients going through their diagnostic journeys with empathy and speed; helping cancer survivors navigate return-to-work challenges and complex clinical needs; and closing critical cancer screening gaps for high-burden cancers.

Color is building its first of its kind Cancer Survivorship Center of Excellence, with the goal of providing dedicated support and high quality care to cancer survivors, tailoring to their specific challenges and needs. If you are passionate about changing that, apply to join Color and do the most meaningful work of your career.

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced survivorship clinician to join our Virtual Cancer Clinic care team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build our multidisciplinary Survivorship CoE services and clinical protocols, and deliver high quality care to cancer survivor patients (including cancer surveillance, cancer screening, monitoring of long term treatment side effects, “cancer-aware” primary care, psycho-social and financial support, health coaching, and care coordination)

Services will be delivered remotely. The ideal candidate will be passionate about reducing the impact of cancer on populations, adept at using telehealth technology, and experienced working with patients with a previous diagnosis of cancer. You deeply understand the disruptive impact cancer has on patients’ lives, and you are passionate about helping address it.

How You'll Contribute:
  • Serve as a vital clinical resource for cancer survivors and their healthcare providers, educating them on their risk of cancer and cancer recurrence, managing the long term side effects of their cancer treatment, writing lab orders and referrals for appropriate cancer screening and detection interventions, following up with and managing patients who receive cancer screening results, including managing patients with abnormal results to make sure they get the right work-up, and coordinating with the patient’s oncologist and PCPs
  • Develop clinical protocols and best practices to coordinate care and provide clinical support to cancer survivors, in close collaboration with other Color Care Team members (e.g., Care Advocates, High-Risk Counselors)
  • As one of the first hires in Color’s Survivorship CoE, you will help build and grow the program in a way that maximizes its value and impact to cancer survivors
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify and address cancer survivors needs
  • Collaborate with Care Advocates to address non-clinical support and care needs of survivors, such as financial hardship, return to work, psychosocial needs, and care coordination needs of cancer survivors
  • Develop cancer screening plans for patients formerly diagnosed with cancer (i.e. survivors)
  • Provide compassionate, empathetic care, establishing close, trust-based relationships with patients
  • Participate in care team sessions to monitor member progress, provide updates, and collaborate on targeted support plans.
  • Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of encounters with patients

  • Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Board certified MD or DO
  • Valid state medical license in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years of independent clinical practice post residency/fellowship training or 2 years experience providing cancer survivorship care or strong symptom / supportive care management experience. This may include direct oncology care, palliative/survivorship care or primary care.
  • Friendly, compassionate manner and a passion for helping patients thrive and live healthy and full lives after a cancer diagnosis.
  • Understanding of the challenges that cancer survivors face in accessing quality care and cancer-aware primary care and you are passionate about helping overcome them.
  • Strong clinical skills, and high bar for experience and quality of care.
  • Team-focused, effective collaborator.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
  • High ethical standards of behavior.
  • FT or PT needs; Full-time availability consists of a minimum of 32 hours per week and part-time minimum of 8 hours per week
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Comfort with technology, including video chatting, electronic health records, and other telehealth tools.
