Grid sepcialist

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the grid connection process and a strong background in renewable energy systems, solar, wind and battery energy storage technologies in the UK.

• Lead and manage the grid connection process for all Elawan’s projects in GB.
  
• Assess grid connection options, considering technical, financial, and regulatory factors.
  
• Preparation and submission of grid connection applications.
  
• Management of several grid consultants, which will provide support during the whole grid connection process.
  
• Permanent contact with DNOs and other stakeholders to secure grid connection agreements.
  
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  
• Coordination with Planning and Management Team for the successful development of the projects.
  
• Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  
• Build a strong relationship with relevant DNOs
  

Requirements

• Strong background in grid connections and technical work
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
  
• Experience in grid connection management for demand and generation
  
• In-depth understanding of UK grid connection processes, regulations, and standards, including G99.
  
• Expert knowledge of GB Distribution and Transmission networks
  
• Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings
  
• Entrepreneurial and data-driven mindset with an ability to identify and act on opportunities.
