The Account Executive, Industry position is responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with key decision makers in target and prospective companies within the healthcare industry.  This role involves identifying opportunities and recommending AORN resources that align with the industry partner’s objectives. This Account Executive will play a crucial role in connecting AORN’s solutions to the needs of the healthcare industry segment.  

 

AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Account Executive will work in a remote capacity.

 

More about what you’ll get to do as our Account Executive:

  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key decision-makers in the medical device industry to fully understand their strategic initiatives, fostering long-term partnerships that drive revenue growth.

  • Identifies and engages with a diverse client base, ranging from small to large medical device companies, ensuring alignment with AORN’s mission and maximizing revenue opportunities.

  • Serves as the primary liaison for assigned key accounts, maintaining a deep understanding of their business priorities and proactively offering AORN’s resources to support their goals.

  • Collaborates in planning and executing corporate visits and strategic discussions with key accounts to identify and secure new business opportunities.

  • Consistently meets and exceeds individual and group sales targets, with a focus on increasing market share and driving new revenue streams.

  • Shares industry insights, trends, and emerging topics with internal AORN teams, contributing to the development of forward-looking strategies and products.

  • Leverages client feedback to identify and recommend new AORN product opportunities, supporting the development of innovative solutions that address industry needs.

  • Creates and implements consultative sales plans, presenting AORN’s products and services as essential elements of clients’ go-to-market strategies, and driving revenue through these engagements.

  • Follows up on all action items from industry meetings to ensure the successful execution of agreed-upon initiatives, driving client satisfaction and continued business growth.

  • Evaluates new opportunities from unsolicited or emerging accounts, strategically assessing potential for deeper engagement and revenue generation with AORN.

  • Stays current on AORN Guideline review schedules, proactively communicating opportunities for public comment and industry collaboration.

  • Contributes to the development and refinement of sales tools, marketing assets, and the overall industry segment strategy to drive revenue growth.

  • Performs other duties as assigned, with a focus on expanding AORN’s influence and revenue in the medical device industry.

Qualifications

Must Have’s to be our Account Executive:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • 4+ years medical device sales experience   

 

PREFREERED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • Understanding of the medical device industry, particularly in the perioperative environment 
  • Proven ability to establish relationships and execute sales by telephone and electronic communications 
  • Proficiency with standard business software and tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Strong follow-up skills. 
  • Proactively builds relationships and takes initiative on projects with a sense of urgency. 
  • Strong customer service orientation and selling skills. 
  • Ability to identify, seek and secure new business. 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, eager to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with internal teams

Hiring Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 per year + 40,000 annual incentive (target incentive pay for 2024 will be prorated based on start date)

 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Working Conditions
Non-smoking office and telecommuting environment, using a computer, telephone and other office equipment daily.  Ability to travel up to 25% to annual Expo and occasional travel to client sites as assigned; most contact is by phone.
