Your missions

The Supplier Operations Assistant will play a critical role within the Supplier Operations organization within the Trip Development (TD) Department. They will be responsible for supporting various Specialists, Coordinators & Managers within Trip Development, working closely with the Subcontractor Group and Field Experts. This role is a great introduction to Backroads as it touches many different aspects our internal systems while generating contracts, sending cancel letters, verifying supplier information, and executing various business critical projects. Additionally, you will get to work on projects with stakeholders from across multiple departments based on the needs of the business, and will be able to learn nearly every aspect of TD Supplier Operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Supplier Operations team with contract check-in and sending status updates to suppliers
  • Request & confirm various critical trip elements, including but not limited to Permits
  • Internal systems support – uploading documents for field use, updating field operations data, managing department inbox, sending cancel letters, etc.
  • Special projects: Assist with ongoing special project needs for Trip Development, Rooming & Yield
  • Scope, plan, and conduct analyses in support of strategic and operational projects
  • Work cross-functionally to support multiple stakeholders & teams
  • Clearly and concisely communicate findings to key stakeholders
  • Get stuff done! Work closely with the entire Trip Development team to make sure our operations are functioning like a finely tuned machine at all time, regardless of the task required.

  • Strong Communicator. You will have extensive correspondence that relies on you being conversant in our systems, timelines, guidelines and terminology.

Salary Ranges:
$25.00 - $28.85

At Backroads, we uphold a commitment to transparency and fairness within our hiring process, particularly regarding compensation. The salary range posted for each role applies to both employment offers and employees actively working in the role.

New hires are typically offered a starting salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range to ensure there is continued opportunity for salary progression during your employment at Backroads, reflecting our commitment to rewarding ongoing dedication, high performance, and significant contributions to our team. This approach not only supports our budgeting strategy but also our intention to foster an environment that encourages long-term growth and strong relationships between Backroads and our valued employees.

Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
