JOB TITLE: EDI Integration Lead 
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time  
REPORTS TO: Head of Digital 
 
JOB SUMMARY:  

The EDI Integration Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and support of electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and integrations across the company’s operations. This role will play a pivotal part in managing EDI interfaces with partners, suppliers, and customers, ensuring seamless data exchange between internal systems and external trading partners. The EDI Integration Lead will collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to streamline and optimize our supply chain, order processing, and business operations through effective EDI integration.   

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s EDI strategy, aligning with business needs and industry standards.  
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable EDI solutions to support the integration of new partners, customers, and suppliers.  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess current processes and recommend improvements via EDI implementations.  
  • Manage EDI projects from initiation to delivery, including requirements gathering, timeline planning, development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Design, develop, and configure EDI interfaces, mappings, and transactions (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML).  
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure timely and accurate data exchanges. 
  • Manage relationships with third party vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and optimized. 
  • Ensure that all EDI implementations and documentation comply with relevant industry standards, such as SOX (for finance), and other applicable regulations 
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization through EDI and related technologies 
  • Partner with IT, supply chain, logistics, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure the seamless integration of EDI with internal systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, CRM).   
     

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.  
  • 5+ years of experience in EDI development, integration, and support, preferably in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.  
  • Proven experience with EDI transaction sets (e.g., 850, 855, 810, 856, 997), communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP), and mapping tools.  
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, etc.).  
  • Proficiency in EDI platforms and integration tools (e.g., Cleo, Dell Boomi, Axway, Sterling Integrator).  
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, and other business systems integration (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). 
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.  
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.  
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and environments.
