Your missions

This is a remote position.

This job is open to Colombian residents only. 

Scope:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern with an hour unpaid break
  • Review and manage financial data for multiple clients
  • Collaborate with junior bookkeepers to improve overall accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for financial management
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm by maintaining high standards of work
  • Potential for client communication and relationship management in the future

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries for accurate financial reporting
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll accuracy
  • Review and validate financial statements prepared by junior bookkeepers
  • Analyze and reduce the use of “Ask My Accountant” items
  • Conduct thorough reviews of categorized transactions
  • Assist in improving processes and workflows for better efficiency
  • Handle advanced accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a focus on advanced tasks
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Wave accounting software
  • Strong understanding of journal entries, payroll processes, and financial statement preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot and correct errors
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with US accounting standards and practices
