About the Role
 

In this position, you will provide expert guidance in contract negotiations related to data security terms. You will maintain and analyze information on our cybersecurity policies and legal requirements, as well as develop strategic programs and processes to support the business legal teams on their data security legal needs. You will also have opportunities to support the team on incident response matters and cybersecurity compliance projects.
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and advancing standard contracting guidelines specific to data security negotiations
  • Providing training on standard data security contracting guidelines across the RELX legal departments
  • Establishing sample language, fallback positions, and areas of potential significant corporate risk
  • Monitoring for and ensuring compliance with various regulations
  • Identifying and executing opportunities to enhance contracting guidelines playbook in different workstreams across the stakeholders


Requirements

  • Possess a Paralegal credential or equivalent and demonstrate significant contract negotiation expertise
  • Possess extensive experience in legal, compliance, and/or information security fields, demonstrating a deep understanding and proficiency in these areas
  • Have the ability to manage multiple, complex programs, projects, and teams while identifying trends in large risk-related data sets
  • Be highly flexible and able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communications skills
  • Be able to organize and present information for business leaders to support risk-informed decision making
  • Have demonstrated ability to prioritize needs and deliver results in an agile, high-pressure environment
  • Possess working knowledge of data security standards and frameworks including ISO 270001, NIST, FedRAMP, etc.
