Role Overview

As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you'll play a key role in guiding borrowers through the loan process. Your responsibilities will include helping clients choose the right loan program, completing applications, gathering necessary documentation (like pay stubs and tax returns), and ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. You will also collaborate with various professionals, including appraisers, title officers, and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans through self-generated leads, corporate referrals, and other campaigns.
  • Conduct interviews to understand applicants’ needs and recommend suitable products, terms, and pricing.
  • Collect and analyze client documents, including income, assets, and credit information.
  • Submit complete loan applications to processing and underwriting, ensuring all required documents are obtained timely.
  • Engage in daily marketing efforts with a goal of generating 4+ loans per month.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent service.
  • Meet both individual and team sales/production goals.

Qualifications

  • NMLS License is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an outside loan originator.
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and ethical in all dealings with colleagues, clients, and partners.
  • Ability to meet required hours of operation.
