As an IT Project Manager (Director of Web Development) with the US Office of Personnel Management, you will lead a cross-functional team composed of customer-focused technical experts charged with developing and managing a websites and other related digital products, tools and apps.
Duties
Serves as principal advisor, change agent, and technical expert to oversee a cross-functional web team.Establishes program and project goals and produces results through strategic planning, developing operational plans and policies, and issuing instructions to achieve desired goal.Participates in the development of systems capable of performing tasks that includes the use of machine learning to create, deliver, and maintain algorithms, large language models, and systems.Serves as an Agile development consultant providing business process expertise and strategic planning research.Establish project plans, assessing time and resources required, setting deadlines and ensuring they are met.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements: You must have Information Technology (IT) related experience that demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level (or equivalent pay band) in the Federal service performing all the following: Leading cross-functional teams in managing digital projects from inception to completion and deliver integrated digital services. Managing the development, operation, and optimization of large-scale public-facing websites, tools, or applications. Implementing AI technologies, including machine learning, computer vision, and model development. Utilizing programming languages such as Python or R, and develop algorithms for AI systems. Monitoring emerging trends in AI and integrate them into operational projects. Ensuring digital solutions meet security, privacy, and Section 508 compliance standards. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
