What You'll Do: 

As the Director of Endpoint Engineering, you will be the technical leader driving the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge endpoint security solutions. This role requires a deep technical background, hands-on involvement in system architecture, and a strong ability to guide and mentor engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that our endpoint agents are robust, scalable, and secure, while also aligning product development with the company's strategic goals. 

Responsibilities: 

  •  Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for endpoint agent products, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and addressing evolving market needs. Lead efforts to innovate and advance the product's technical capabilities. 

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in designing and building robust, high-performance endpoint agents. Actively participate in code review, debugging, and optimizing core components to meet rigorous security and performance standards. 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers and product managers. Foster technical excellence within the team, promoting best practices in software development, security, and system design. 

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle of endpoint agents, from architecture and design through development, testing, and deployment. Ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable endpoint solutions. 

  • Work closely with product management, QA, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of endpoint agents with other security solutions and platforms. Drive collaboration to resolve technical challenges and deliver high-quality products. 

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in endpoint security. Provide hands-on technical guidance to the team, making critical decisions to maintain the competitiveness of our solutions. 

  •  Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs, and translate these insights into actionable product improvements. Lead technical discussions during customer escalations and incidents. 

  • Analyze market trends and competitor products to ensure our endpoint agents remain at the forefront of innovation. Drive technical strategies that enhance product features, performance, and security. 

  • Implement and oversee processes for managing and maintaining endpoint agents, including regular updates, patches, and support. Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms to track KPIs related to performance and customer satisfaction. 

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Encourage proactive problem-solving and the adoption of new technologies to enhance product quality. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with more than 3+ years of people management experience, demonstrating success in building, growing, and managing multiple teams 

  • Deep understanding of endpoint security solutions, threat detection, and response technologies. 

  • Experience with endpoint protection platforms, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and related technologies. 

  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies used in endpoint security development (e.g., C++, Python, GO). 

  • Ability to understand complex business systems and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies as needed. Proven ability to work with and lead remote teams to achieve sustainable long-term success. 

  • Proven ability to influence and deliver high-impact initiatives. Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to define and drive the team’s mission, vision, and long-term strategies. 

  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and collaborating effectively across departments. Strong writing and communication skills with a keen business intuition and adaptability to new technologies. 

  • A passion for quality and a “Get Stuff Done” attitude, balanced with a sense of responsibility to customers and the team. 

  • B.S. or M.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
