Job Summary

The Distributions Analyst supports the daily distribution operations in accordance with internal regulations, SEC, and IRS requirements. Under general supervision, an Analyst will process and disburse financial transactions from retirement accounts to account holders. This includes but is not limited to wires, check disbursements, deposits, and ACH transactions. The Analyst must apply basic knowledge and skills obtained through on-the-job training and industry knowledge to evaluate, approve, and process retirement account requests received from clients. Analysts must acquire and maintain knowledge of IRS rules regarding retirement accounts and tax codes via ongoing training courses, IRS publications, or other reference material. The Analyst will provide support to the department to ensure tasks are completed within the established timeframe. In addition, the associate will deliver superior service with professionalism by researching individual account activity to resolve account and plan related issues in a timely and efficient manner for internal and external customers. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately process transactions without error by employing attention to detail including but not limited to, distributions, loans, excess contributions; perform quality review of all transactions processed to verify accuracy.
  • Review and prepare manual investment transactions to effect timely disbursement of monies.
  • Support the client experience by researching and fielding incoming email requests regarding transaction or plan inquiries; utilize resources and tools to answer questions.
  • Take ownership of account related issues by researching historical activity, interacting with various vendors, internal or external partners.
  • Promptly follow up with partners to via phone calls or email as needed. Use oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively with external clients, internal clients, and other contacts.
  • Monitor the department email boxes, workflow queues and incoming faxes
  • Ability to meet various daily deadlines for timely processing of disbursements.
  • Enhance client experience by providing feedback regarding enhancements to streamline existing processes and/or increase department efficiency.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
  • Financial Industry Experience is a plus
  • Salesforce and / or Relius experience a plus
  • Demonstrated competency in a Windows based environment; Intermediate Microsoft Office applications skills required: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Access; keyboarding proficiency, internet savvy and use of web-based systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with diverse internal and external parties
  • Experience effectively handling customer inquiries and address customer issues
  • Strong analytical foundation, sound judgment, and ability to solve complex problems independently
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and complete tasks as assigned
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as requested

Compensation Information

The average salary for this position is expected to be between $35,000 and $60,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
