Job description

Imagine stepping into a role where your expertise in data science doesn't just contribute to a company's success, but transforms it. At Totalmobile, we are on the cusp of revolutionising our product suite with the integration of AI, and we are searching for a visionary Data Scientist to lead this charge.

Over the past year, Totalmobile has undergone a significant transformation, rebuilding our data infrastructure tech stack with leading-edge technologies such as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Onelake. As our Analytics team transitions from our legacy AWS platform to this innovative new stack, we are positioning ourselves to be at the forefront of advanced analytics and reporting. Our current solutions already provide invaluable insights across Dynamic Scheduling, Health, Work Order Management, and Logistics. Moving forward, this new hub will be the epicentre of all our data, analytics, and AI endeavours.

Now, we are ready to take the next leap. We need a Data Scientist to spearhead the development of AI solutions that will unlock previously unimaginable insights from the data we capture. This role is crucial for exploring and creating machine learning algorithms that will offer our customers a competitive edge. So far, we've harnessed GenAI capabilities, including LLM and Image Recognition, within the Azure cloud, and completed multiple proof-of-concepts. But this is just the beginning.

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Data Scientist to join the leading field service management software vendor in the UK. In this role, you will delve into complex customer datasets to drive business decisions, develop predictive models, and uncover actionable insights. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will tackle intricate problems, implement data-driven solutions, and devise strategies that deliver a competitive advantage to our customers.

Joining a highly technical team, you will find yourself in a position of strategic importance. Not only will you be building AI solutions into our products and working on greenfield projects, but you will also champion the importance of data science and AI within the company. Your responsibilities will span writing machine learning code, owning the internal strategy, and elevating our AI capabilities. You will bridge the gap between AI and practical application, supporting and connecting back-office systems while demystifying AI for our customers.

At Totalmobile, we have established a leading-edge data architecture and developed the most capable product suite available in field service management. Now, we need you—the Data Scientist.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. You should have a proven track record in the industry, where you have taken a solution from the analysis of data right through to deployment to the customer. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with mainstream languages like Java and/or C#, is essential. You should have experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and a solid understanding of machine learning frameworks such as Databricks ML, TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn. A strong grasp of cloud technologies and a solid foundation in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling are also necessary.

Experience with big data technologies and platforms, such as DataBricks, and familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, and/or Hive, will be advantageous.

At Totalmobile, we want our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues’ different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages of their journey with us.
