About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Project Controller to join our Maritime Sustainment program. This role will report to the Enterprise Performance Analyst and has the flexibility to be based in any location across Australia.
Working across a diverse range of projects, the Project Controller will be responsible for coordinating the proper use of the company Earned Value Management (EVM) System so that the project management team can adequately monitor and report on project cost, schedule progress and risk status.
The successful applicant must maintain the goodwill of the Customer and company management, by ensuring that our established EVM processes are carried out to report and manage the project with timely, accurate EVM data.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing monthly reporting and analysis, while maintain consistency across projects, using Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Integration of Schedule Data into the Financial Reporting tool and preparation of periodic reports and Dashboards
- Establishing project baselines for cost and schedule, maintaining detailed structures including code set up and maintenance of Work Breakdown structure.
- Administration of the change process to established Baselines and integration of changes into Financial Reporting
- Assist in the planning of the Annual Work Plan for the Program.
- Using various tools like Open Plan, Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Cobra for data entry and assisting the team in scheduling.
- Advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
- Analysis of Contract Data and mapping to Program Work Breakdown Structure.
- Preparing Schedule Risk Analysis and contributing to the overall financial management of the Program.
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commercial or Project Management (advantageous)
- Previous experience in a similar role or equivalent
- Core skillset in either Scheduling or Financial Management.
- Ability to interpret schedule and financial data and investigate variances from targets.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under time constraints, solve problems and make decisions
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders both internal and external to BAE Systems to implement business requirements
- Current or previously issued defence security clearance will be advantageous
