Summary Of Opportunity
The Product and Technology (P&T) PMO is a dynamic group that helps Dayforce deliver quality products to existing and new markets on time, every time. Working with Product and Engineering teams to plan, monitor and report progress on Public Sector initiatives that include, product enhancements, customer-specific changes, prep for Cloud deployments, sprint reviews, and reporting. We provide exceptional program management support through a team of highly skilled and experienced project-, program-, and change professionals.
The Project Coordinator Intern with work closely with a variety of professionals on our team, to support the development and launch of new software products and services. The Project Management Intern will also assist with developing new and enhanced internal processes to further improve PMO practices, processes, and tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help facilitate internal workshops with key stakeholders
- Research external project- and program best practices and make recommendations for internal adoption
- Help create and maintain project plans and executive reporting dashboards
- Liaise with Analysts, Developers, Architects, and other IT professionals to discuss work efforts and assess progress against plan
- Project Control Activities, Sprint Reviews, Presentation prep
- Organize meetings, Minutes, follow-up
- JIRA Reporting
- Smartsheet Updates
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science with potential interest in a career in Project- or Program Management, Business Analysis, or Business Architecture
- Project Management (any field)
- Project Experience, Planning, JIRA, Office 365 suite.
- Experience in IT (preferably software, HCM, ERP, SaaS, or related)
- Experience working with IT professionals, Business Executives, external partners
- Very strong written and verbal business communication skills (including comfort speaking to diverse audiences)
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite
Nice To Have
- Experience with Project Management software (e.g., SmartSuite, MS Project)
- Experience with Atlassian software (Jira and/or Confluence)
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization (preferably global)
- PMI or Project experience
