About The Opportunity

Tax Analysts are responsible for processing value added tax-related projects as contracted by Payroll / Tax customers. This includes but is not limited to researching and understanding the implications of relevant tax laws, as well as communicating with customers to gather information. Tax analysts also obtain and review company data, reconcile and analyze it to obtain the best tax results for their customers. Interact with tax authorities to process tax changes, research, and resolve tax discrepancies, prepare, and submit agency Federal, State and Local tax returns and forms on their behalf.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Prepare and process Federal, State and Local original and amended tax filings, documents, and forms.
  • Reconcile and analyze company tax accounts to ensure compliance with the agencies.
  • Prepare all estimated tax payment calculations and the allocation of deposits.
  • Register for identification numbers with the agencies for new business, hired employees or resident changes.
  • Close agency accounts, file for company name and address changes.
  • Research and resolve tax inquiries.
  • Analyze and research complex tax issues.
  • Communicate directly with customers and taxing agencies. Participate in customer conference calls.
  • Resolve client inquiries accurately and expediently with a high level of customer service.
  • Handle escalated project issues.
  • Acts as a resource to the team.

Skills And Experience We Value

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3 - 5 years of related tax / payroll / accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written skills
  • Apply a level of skill in applying a variety of tools, applications and information gained from internal and external resources.
  • Result oriented and have analytical skills.
  • Prioritize, organize, and accomplish work to meet client deliverables and follow up is critical.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools; Excel, Word, and Outlook. Above average skills in Excel.
