About The Opportunity

The Solutions Specialist is responsible for assisting Implementation project teams to deliver Dayforce configuration that follow best practices, providing limited customer support to clients that are awaiting implementation of their Dayforce product, and delivering long-term solutions to fix configuration gaps identified by Dayforce customers post go-live that meet the documented customer requirements in the statement of work (SOW). Rework solutioning includes confirming and/or gathering requirements, identifying data and configuration issues, and architecting a scalable and robust solution. The Senior Solutions Specialist must ensure timely completion of these projects across a variety of Dayforce modules and ensure the solutions provided are aligned to customers’ needs. Responsibilities also include mentoring and consulting with team members, documenting implementation process gaps and incorporating best practices. Additionally, the Senior Solutions Specialist works with internal teams across the organization to improve implementation quality and minimize rework post go-live.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Confirm, gather, understand and document customer requirements
  • Consult customers on various options to address business requirements by:
    • Leveraging best practices
    • Considering downstream effects of configuration choices
    • Applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce and 3rd party applications
    • Considering product performance and cloud resources to optimize solutions
  • Write SQL code to identify, troubleshoot and fix data as well as configuration issues in the customer’s Dayforce instance
  • Understand, troubleshoot and modify XML and XSLT code
  • Project Management
    • Create and follow a project plan using effort estimation, outline action items, measure progress, make adjustments and follow the plan through to completion
    • Provide customers with significant and timely updates
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects for a customer and maintain strong relationships
  • Collaborate with customers, Dayforce contacts and 3rd party vendors to conduct thorough testing to deliver a complete and high-quality solution
  • Use negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive projects to successful resolution
  • Recommend continued product enhancements
  • Support the Solutions Team by
    • Providing mentorship and high-quality training materials
    • Providing solution oversight for projects
    • Create, document and optimize team processes
Skills And Experience We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant software/computer related fields
  • 5+ years of support experience or equivalent
  • Superior communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
  • Expert understanding of programming, HTML and Microsoft Server Technology
  • Technical knowledge of XML and XSLT
  • Solid exposure to hosting and change management protocols

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Previous experience in support, consulting and/or project management experience specifically in the HCM space
  • Certification in the HCM space such as CPA Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals
