About The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled accountant to maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. This role is well suited to someone who is mature, stable, self-managed and is looking for flexibility.
As an accountant principal, your expertise in accounting and reporting will help drive sound decision-making and help achieve strategic objectives. If you have a strong understanding of financial principles and possess an analytical edge, we invite you to apply for this position.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Compilation and review of the month-end financial results. This will require an analytical outlook to assess if the correct income and costs have been accounted for as well as the correct allocation to functions and cost centres.
- Reporting results to each of our internal businesses. This will include interpretation and commentary on the main drivers of the results.
- Assisting with Forecast and Budget.
- Month-end financial reports to Management
- Cash book and cash flow monitoring
- Assisting year end audit and other ad hoc tasks as required
- Tax computation, VAT and TDS filing.
- Balance sheet recs/fixed assets register.
Skills And Experience We Value
- At least 5 years’ experience working dealing with all lines of the profit and loss account and general ledger.
- Minimum part 2 qualified ACCA candidate
- Awareness and understanding of accounting principles and legislation, in-depth knowledge of IFRS.
What Would Make You Really Stand Out
- Experience in a multi-national company.
- Good knowledge of accounting software.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in statutory reporting.
