Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Financial Reporting Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Financial Reporting Intern

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the accounting and reporting for the Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) group of companies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Learn and support TMNA financial reporting activities
  • Learn and support the Month-End close process which includes running reports to support internal reporting
  • Assist the financial reporting team in add hoc tasks and ongoing projects
  • Assist in administering monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses
  • Assist in supporting the auditors in documentation requests
  • Update desk procedures and relevant policies

Internship eligibility

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited MBA, master’s degree or undergraduate program in Accounting, Business or related field
  • Available to work full-time during the Summer 2023 term  
  • Position is in Plano Texas and will consist of a hybrid mix of office and work-from-home.  
  • GPA of 2.7 or higher  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age  
  • Lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship  

Qualifications:  

A successful candidate will have:  

  • Strong initiative, ability to work and excel in pressure situations 
  • Ability to effectively communicate persuasively through PowerPoint, Word, Excel and emails
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Exposure to SAP and BPC is a bonus.
  • Attention to details, ability to think through processes, adapt changes quickly and to challenge the status quo 
  • Experienced individual to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally as well as be an effective contributor 
  • Excellent communication skills in helping meet or exceed business goals and objectives
