To support our field service team, we are looking for a dedicated Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) for the commissioning of our turbo compressors and expansion turbines at our customers' sites worldwide.

Your Mission

  • Carrying out commissioning at the customer's site (construction site) at home and abroad, partly in cooperation with a colleague team of commissioning engineers and product specialists.
  • Close coordination and cooperation with the customer's team responsible for the entire plant on site
  • Participation in meetings for the coordination and preparation of work processes Depending on the previous experience or the plant: Independent execution of or significant participation in commissioning in accordance with the operating instructions, design documents and the customer's specifications, considering the specifications for the commissioning of the entire plant
  • Independent testing of all necessary electrotechnical and mechanical settings up to the test run of the delivered machine or plant


(if necessary according to the specifications of the senior commissioning engineer)

  • Accompanying the test run of the complete plant of the customer on site
  • Support and participation in the training and instruction of the customer's employees on site regarding the correct operation of the machine.
  • Implementing upgrades regarding control/regulation to the "state of the art" versions
  • On-site assignments to troubleshoot software failures or malfunctions in the regulation/control of the compressor/turbine.


Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronics or comparable technical training with additional qualification
  • Experience in the assembly of mechanical components in equipment and plant construction
  • Well-founded mechanical as well as electrotechnical expertise
  • Ideally several years of relevant professional experience in commissioning in special plant or special machine construction or in commissioning mechatronic systems
  • Relevant experience in the field of automation
  • Solid Knowledge of instrumentation control knowledge and equivalent electronics knowledge
  • Experience in technical field service and/or compressor construction is an advantage
  • High readiness for worldwide, longer assignments (approx. 70-80% readiness to travel)
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Curiosity, interest, and pleasure in working in an international/intercultural environment
  • Confident manner in dealing with clients coupled with strong communication skills, diplomatic skills, and assertiveness
  • High degree of responsibility and enjoyment of independent work
  • Willingness to undergo continuous further training, especially in the field of electrical engineering
