The Vacancy

RSK are recruiting for an exciting new position Director of Wayleaves and Consents, leading our wayleaves team, with shared oversight of RSK Group company, Consents Solutions. This role is a full time, permanent position, working remotely with the expectancy to travel when required.

RSK is a global leader in sustainable solutions focusing on environmental, engineering, and technical services. Working together, we address societal challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, offering integrated solutions across sectors such as water, energy, food, infrastructure, cities, mining, and waste management.

Our Wayleaves Team provide professional services to the renewables and utility sector and we are looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated technical expert with the energy and drive to lead our offering and grow the business.

Responsibilities:

To lead the RSK wayleaves and consenting offer with added oversight of the RSK Consents Solutions team. This will involve:

  • Managing and growing the existing team
  • Taking a technical lead of the wayleaves and consenting offer
  • Business development
  • Tender writing and quoting
  • Assisting and eventually leading in the management a P&L
  • Identifying strategic opportunities for business growth


Successful candidates will:

  • Be RICS accredited to MRICS level
  • Knowledge and experience and evidence of the D.C.O. order and a demonstration of working on projects falling under that act
  • Understanding and knowledge and evidence of working under the legislation of the Utilities sector, to include gas, water, electricity, telecoms and renewables, including both on and off-shore wind, solar and battery projects
  • A full driving licence will be required as will the need for flexible working with regard to type of work, timing and location.
  • A good knowledge of utilities industry, agriculture and the rural environment.
