Job Description

Oracle Cloud (OCI) is a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in Cloud Platform Services. Oracle Cloud is the first public cloud built from the ground up to be a better cloud for every application. By rethinking core engineering and systems design for cloud computing, OCI created innovations that solve problems that customers have with existing public clouds. OCI accelerates migrations of existing enterprise workloads, delivers better reliability and performance for all applications, and offers the complete services customers need to build innovative cloud applications.

Compute services are the foundation for Cloud Platform Services. With building blocks based on Security, Performance, and Flexibility, the Compute service builds scaling solutions for a global customers base across the breadth of the offering, including: Virtual Machines, Bare Metal Infrastructure, GPU Instances, Cloud Native Containers, and VMWare on Oracle Cloud.

The Chief of Staff (Technical Program Manager) will be a core member of the VP, Compute Platform and Operations leadership team. Their work will enable companies and governments to move mission-critical workloads to the cloud with confidence in the security of their information, the availability of the services, and the rapid response and resolution of incidents.

This role will manage the rhythm of the business for the VP, drive key initiatives and programs across the finish line, and facilitate success through solid working relationships across Oracle Cloud with a 24x7 globally distributed team. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter who can take initiative and drive accountability while building and maintaining strong relationships with team members and stakeholders in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. As a member of the leadership team, this role will be working with global OCI leaders across multiple functions to develop, implement and manage development and operational processes, systems, reports and strategies to meet company-wide and organizational goals and initiatives.

The successful candidate will be an excellent organizational and inclusive leader. They will excel at driving results via empowering and scaling people. They will be a superb written and verbal communicator. They will be comfortable presenting to senior leadership and influencing global stakeholders across the organization. They will be proficient at looking around corners by identifying critical internal and external trends and will be detail orientated, with a passion for simplifying processes to deliver operational excellence at scale. They will be able to roll-up their sleeves working directly with models and data as well as ideating and driving strategic priorities for the OCI Compute organization.
