Overview:
A Product Manager is a key role within an assigned business unit that is responsible for the development, strategy, and performance of a specific product or product line. Plays a critical role in driving the success of a product by defining its vision, strategy, and execution plan, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring it to life.
Successful Product Managers possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical acumen, communication skills, leadership abilities, customer focus, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills. They play a critical role in driving the success of a product and delivering value to customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. This involves conducting market research, analyzing customer needs and preferences, and identifying opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
- Roadmap Planning: Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and deliverables for the product. This roadmap serves as a guiding document for the product development team and other stakeholders.
- Feature Prioritization: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business priorities.
- Requirements Gathering: Working closely with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, ensuring that the product meets the needs of both internal and external users.
- Project Management: Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes defining project timelines, managing resources, and coordinating efforts across different teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and potential threats to the product's success. Using this information to make informed decisions about the product's direction and positioning in the market.
- Metrics Tracking: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the product. Regularly tracking and analyzing these metrics to evaluate the product's performance and identify areas for improvement. Stakeholder Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the product, both internally and externally. Communicating product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various teams and departments within the organization, such as engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration across all aspects of the product development and delivery process.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the product and improve its performance, usability, and overall user experience. This may involve gathering feedback from users conducting usability testing, and iterating on the product based on insights gained.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with a degree in business administration, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years previous experience in product management, project management, or a related field.
- Experience with Healthcare IT, claims processing and data analytics domains.
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with software development processes are often necessary for Product Managers, especially in technology-driven industries. Knowledge of agile development methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management tools is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data, analyze market trends, and make informed decisions about product strategy and roadmap prioritization. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for Product Managers to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers. This includes the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Individuals who can inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to work towards a common goal. They should be able to influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making processes effectively.
- A deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and pain points is crucial for Product Managers to develop products that meet customer expectations and deliver value. Experience with user research, customer interviews, and usability testing is beneficial.
- Must collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration across all aspects of the product development and delivery process.

Base compensation ranges from $98,000 to $121,500 annually. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
