Reports to:               Manager, Plan Operations

Job Summary:       Administrator provides support and works directly with an assigned Team to support Account Managers.  This position requires excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving ability. The position requires the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and the ability to work as part of a team, while independently managing accounts with minimal required supervision. Excellent communication skills and full understanding of the importance of customer service is a must. 

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for requesting, tracking and monitoring year-end data from clients 
  • Review year-end data submitted & address issues with the information
  • Requesting missing year-end data (some client interaction involved)
  • Importing census and contribution information into compliance testing system
  • Run eligibility transaction into compliance testing system
  • Downloading various investment information from vendor websites
  • Uploading financial information into compliance testing system
  • Allocate plan contributions; gain/loss; transfers and loan repayments
  • Reconciling contributions by employer with contributions deposited at vendor
  • Prepares Form 5500SF (Some 5500s with related Schedules for Large Clients)
  • Invites client / 3(16) Administrator to electronically sign 5500
  • Prepare vesting uploads for various vendors and uploads to their site
  • Process participant address changes, enrollment and beneficiary forms
  • Maintain effective relationships with client and advisor contacts
  • Ensure deadlines are identified and met

Requirements: 

  • College degree or 2 years of Retirement and/or Benefits experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications/software
  • Excellent math skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Provide a high level of service to clients
  • Relius a plus
  • Salesforce a plus
  • FT Williams a plus
