Summary:

This new Digital Director is responsible for leading and championing the digital transformation strategy of KPMG UK. This role will oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative and user-centric digital solutions that enhance the firm's brand, reputation, and client’s engagement and satisfaction.

This role involves driving the digital marketing, e-commerce, and online presence initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business growth priorities and objectives. The Digital Director will champion innovation, enhance user experience, and optimise digital platforms to increase user engagement [internally and externally] focusing on 3 core areas : (i) brand building and reputation management; (ii) relationship building with clients and prospects and (iii) supporting every stage of the sales cycle to maximise revenue opportunities.

The Digital Director will also manage the digital team and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives across the firm.

Key responsibilities:

Digital strategy and leadership:

  • Drive and implement the digital transformation vision and roadmap for the firm to support business growth and enhance brand presence.
  • Lead the Digital Martech and Beyond teams, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging digital trends, technologies, and best practices, and recommend appropriate solutions and innovations for the firm.
  • Provide insight and expertise on digital topics and issues and promote a culture of digital innovation and excellence within the firm.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as alliance partners, vendors, and agencies, and ensure clear and consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with Global Digital, Marketing and Corporate Affairs teams.


Digital marketing:

  • Strategic responsibility for digital marketing campaigns, including marketing automation, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and display advertising.
  • Analyse and report on digital marketing/Beyond performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive close relationship with CRM and Data teams.
  • Responsible for the digital marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Ensure the quality, usability, accessibility, and security of digital solutions, and adhere to the firm's standards, policies, and GDPR guidelines.


Website and online presence:

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the KPMG UK website and other digital assets.
  • Ensure websites and digital platforms are optimised for search engines and user/accessibility experience.
  • Monitor website analytics and implement improvements to enhance performance and engagement.


Beyond:

  • Champion and lead the Beyond community nurture platform.
  • Transition the platform into fully integrated BAU state.


Content strategy:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the brand’s voice and objectives.
  • Oversee content creation, ensuring high-quality, relevant, and engaging material across all digital channels.


E-commerce management:

  • Lead e-commerce initiatives that involve KPMG Products to drive online sales growth and improve customer experience.
  • Optimize e-commerce platforms for usability, functionality, and conversion rates.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Champion analytics to track and measure the performance of all digital initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports on digital metrics, ROI, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.


Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, IT, and customer service, to align digital initiatives with business goals.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including digital agencies, vendors, and technology providers.


Budget ownership:

  • Accountable for the planning and management and performance of the Digital programme and resourcing budget.


Qualifications:

  • Significant demonstratable experience in digital marketing, marktech, e-commerce, or a similar digital role of size and scale
  • Inspiring and innovative digital thinker who has a commercial outlook – and can connect our business drivers to the needs of clients.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital transformation strategies.
  • Extensive understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, data management and CRM tools, as well as Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, social media advertising, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Inspiring leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to influence and engage diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with web design and development.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Certification in digital marketing or related areas.
