Responsibilities:

  • Work with protein structure data with a goal of finding better drug targets to the protein

  • Work with Generative AI models in designing different classes of drug candidates to the protein

  • Understanding and analyzing protein structures under simulations

  • Fine tune Generative AI models for design of peptides or small molecule drugs

  • Work with sequence data to set up primary and secondary genomic analysis

  • Use sequence data within open source repositories for biomarker discovery.

Required Skills:

  • Education level: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD

  • Background in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics

  • Working understanding of ML concepts and the respective underlying mathematical know-how

  • Hands-on experience with in silico techniques in drug discovery

  • Understanding of structural biology techniques, working with protein sequences and protein structures

  • Working knowledge of using NLP with biological sequences

  • Experience with genome datasets and genomic analysis tools

  • Experience in developing models with deep-learning in multiple ML areas like Computer Vision, NLP, Statistics, etc.

  • Knowledge of cloud environments like GCP/AWS and ML frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch,

  • with good experience in large-scale distributed training

  • Excellent coding skills (Python advanced) and flexible mindset, with the ability to quickly switch between & adapt to newer concepts

Good to have:

  • Prior R&D experience, and/or publications at top-tier ML conferences will be an advantage

  • Strong classical education in Mathematics/Physics/Mechanics/CS/Engineering concepts will also be an advantage

  • Hands on experience with In Vitro techniques and analysis of data from In Vitro experiments
