We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Artist to join our client's dynamic team.
As a Senior Artist, you will be a pivotal figure bridging the gap between artists and programmers, ensuring that art content and features are seamlessly integrated into the game while maintaining the artistic vision and adhering to technical constraints. This role demands extensive experience in 3D graphics, rendering engines, and game development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate collaboration between art teams and programmers to produce technically sound art content and integrate it effectively into the game engine.
- Provide expert guidance and support to artists and engineers in the use of art pipelines and user-facing engine tools.
- Offer hands-on assistance to artists and engineers, with a focus on asset performance and validation to ensure optimal quality and efficiency on mobile platforms.
- Address complex technical issues within the 3D asset pipeline, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
- Work closely with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems, contributing to a smooth and immersive gameplay experience.
- Maintain open and effective communication with peers across all departments to facilitate collaboration and ensure team alignment.
- Demonstrate extensive proficiency in 3D graphics, including modeling, particle systems, physics systems, and shaders, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Stay current with advancements and techniques in rendering engines, leveraging in-depth knowledge to enhance game development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a 3D Artist in video game development, with at least one previously shipped title.
- Proven experience with shaders, including ShaderLabs and HLSL/Cg.
- Extensive experience working with the Unity game engine.
- Track record of shipping high-quality PC, console, or mobile titles in a similar role.
- Scripting experience in HLSL, Python, MEL, C#, and/or other programming languages.
- Proficiency in using Jira for project management.
- Strong background in 3D graphics for games, with experience in working with artists to integrate animation.
- Knowledge and experience with render pipelines.
- Expertise in 3D character animation in Unity, including setting up character controllers, rigid bodies, and timelines.
