Sr. Developer (Specialty)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Sr. Developer (Speciality) to join their dynamic team. This role is based in Richfield, MN, and we encourage local candidates to apply. However, we are open to considering non-local applicants as well.

As a Sr. Developer, you will be part of the Inspired Discovery Services Team, a high-performance engineering team that collaborates with various domain teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the customer's online experience. This team is responsible for creating leading-edge REST services that personalize the online user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and managing highly scalable and performant APIs and pipelines
• Collaborating with BSAs, Product Managers, and Engineers to validate the system against requirements
• Delivering functionality rapidly with a dev-ops slant
  
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building highly scalable and performing applications
• Proficiency in current software development techniques
• Advanced expertise in developing REST web services using Groovy, Java, Jersey, and Spring
• Experience in pair programming in a TDD and Agile environment
• BS/MS in computer science or engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products
• Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries
• Proficiency in Mac OS and/or IntelliJ for development
• Experience with NoSQL data stores (Riak, Cassandra, etc.) and/or Splunk
• Knowledge of and working experience with open source software (e.g. Apache, Tomcat, etc.)
• Experience in performance testing and tuning of web services
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine, Hadoop, etc.)
• DevOps infrastructure experience (chef, puppet, open stack)
