Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Assessor/Interviewer specializing in Mobile Applications with a focus on Android to join our team. This advanced role involves evaluating technical candidates for various senior-level Android development positions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in Android development methodologies, tools, and practices, along with a strong ability to mentor and guide the technical assessment process.
Responsibilities:
• Design and conduct comprehensive technical interviews and assessments for senior-level Android development positions, ensuring a thorough evaluation of candidates’ technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• Develop and continuously update advanced assessment criteria and interview questions to reflect the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with the HR and development teams to understand complex role requirements, desired skills, and team dynamics, tailoring assessments accordingly.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback and recommendations to the hiring team, playing a key role in informing hiring decisions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Android technologies, tools, and practices, ensuring that assessments remain current and relevant.
• Facilitate in-depth technical workshops or discussions to evaluate candidates’ hands-on skills in a collaborative environment.
• Mentor and train junior technical assessors/interviewers, providing guidance on best practices and interview techniques.
• Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the technical assessment process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in mobile development roles, with at least 5 years specializing in Android development.
• Deep understanding of Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, and the mobile app development lifecycle.
• Experience with integrating Android applications with backend services and APIs.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles and Google’s Material Design guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor others.
• Extensive experience designing advanced technical assessments and conducting technical interviews.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Android development trends and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced certifications in Android development or related mobile development technologies.
• Significant experience in a technical hiring or technical assessment role.
• Leadership or managerial experience in a mobile development team, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding team members.
• Experience contributing to open-source Android projects or communities.
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks such as Espresso, JUnit, and Robolectric.
• Knowledge of native mobile development to understand and bridge gaps between Android and other platforms.
