Job description

Overview

As an SAP ABAP RAP (ABAP Restful Application Programming) professional, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing robust and scalable solutions within SAP systems. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and coding ABAP-based solutions to enhance business processes and functionality within the SAP environment.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain SAP RAP applications using ABAP programming language
Implement and customize SAP Fiori applications using ABAP programming
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions
Design, develop, and maintain reports, interfaces, and conversions using ABAP development tools
Conduct unit testing and debugging of SAP RAP applications to ensure high quality and performance
Optimize and enhance existing SAP RAP applications based on performance and usability metrics
Work on integration with SAP HANA and other external systems to ensure seamless data flow
Assist in the documentation and knowledge transfer for SAP RAP solutions to support teams and end users
Provide technical support and problem resolution for SAP RAP applications and related functionalities
Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP RAP technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in SAP ABAP development with a focus on SAP RAP (ABAP Restful Application Programming)
In-depth knowledge of SAP Fiori development and customizations using ABAP
Proficiency in ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and enhancement techniques
Experience in designing and implementing SAP HANA views, CDS (Core Data Services), and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
Strong understanding of SAP RAP concepts, including data modeling, annotations, and service implementation
Ability to perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
SAP certification in ABAP development or related areas is a plus
Experience in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is desirable
Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and cloud platform integration will be an advantage
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
