Job Description

We are in the process of hiring a Claims Accountant to join our team in Manila, Philippines. This role is pivotal in maintaining service fee payments up to date, bank accounts reconciled, recoveries and escrow processed. As a Claims Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including general accounting tasks such as accounting reports, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role is set within the industry and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Process service fee rates update and service fee payment. 
  • Prepares accounting reports for various accounting divisions in Arch.
  • Prepare reclass journals entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to verify the Third-Party Administrator’s bank balance against Arch balance.
  • Process recoveries and escrows ensuring activities are completed within the set timeframe.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to ensure smooth operations and coordination.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and flexibility, particularly during busy periods, to meet accounting deadlines and payment demands.

Qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both written and verbal) with both internal & external customers
  • Previous insurance and/or reinsurance experience is a plus
  • Adept at multi-tasking with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, & meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Adapts and responds well to change and pressure
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Additional Information
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business/Business Administration, Statistics, related discipline
