IGS is currently recruiting a seasoned SAP Hana Platform Developer with specialized experience in smart data integration custom adapters and API (OData, Restful, JSON, XML) development to support our work with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). 


Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access HHS systems and therein use approved HHS provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.


Description:

Applicants should have a solid understanding and demonstrated knowledge of analytics and data views, as well as experience with software development best practices, processes, and procedures. The role includes working with data modelers and architects to effectively design, plan, and develop data analysis work products, consisting of parameterized reports, interactive Business Intelligence artifacts and data visualizations to support the growing the functionalities of personnel, time and attendance, payroll, workmen’s compensation, learning, and other administrative source information systems. Applicants will also assist in the development of associated design, training materials and report documentation.


Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Utilize the HANA platform, HANA XSA development with expertise in data integration, custom adapters, and API (OData, Restful, JSON, XML) development or related technologies.
  • Experience with related technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, and Informatica for application or data integration.
  • Understand and follow the best practices and standards for API design and implementation.
  • Understand human resources domain and the APIs for Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to ensure compliance and adaptability in development procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with the business analysts and project management team to clarify requirements, ensuring that the development is aligned with business goals.
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting of application code and handle issues proactively.
  • Lead testing efforts to validate developed applications for functionality and performance.
  • Document development standards and ensure they are adhered to by other developers. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HANA platform, especially in HANA XSA development.
  • Solid understanding of the Smart Data Integration (SDI) custom adapters and API (OData, Restful, JSON, XML) development or related technologies.
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP Data Services, MuleSoft, or Informatica would be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the human resources domain and the Office of Personnel Management are beneficial.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a High-Level HHS Public Trust clearance.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement.
