Job description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

 

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer is considered a security and technical expert in cloud security technology.  The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering security solutions in Cloud infrastructure based on Cloud security standards, governance and control practices. Assists others on own team, or other teams where applicable, on cloud security projects or security-relevant tasks on technical projects.

 

The Security & Infrastructure teams run a core suite of authentication and authorization infrastructure, and additional security platforms and services. The Cloud Security Engineer will report to the will work hand-in-hand with other members of the teams, additional teams within Security, and will partner with groups across the firm.

Client has a hyperconverged infrastructure environment with AWS, Azure, Google, and 2 DC’s.

 

·       Candidates for this role should have subject matter expertise in implementing security controls and threat protection, managing identity and access, and protecting data, applications, and networks in cloud and hybrid environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure.

·       Design, build, maintain, and enhance authentication and security services in Azure and AWS.

·       Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure and security projects from inception to delivery.

·       Review, approve, and consult on Terraform Azure deployments submitted by other teams.

·       Provide detailed solution consulting with authentication infrastructure and related services.

·       Take primary ownership of the complete lifecycle of several existing security products.

·       Participate in off-hour emergency support rotation.

    

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·       Over 5 years of Infrastructure experience, including at least 3 years working with Amazon Web Services and or Microsoft Azure platform security

·       Networking expertise, including Subnetting, Routing, ACL, and Security Groups

·       Windows and Linux OS security administration experience.

 

 

·       Have previously worked with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS providers, in which you provided guidance on secure system and service configuration

·       Proven success in ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of company and customer data in a shared cloud environment

·       Experience in scripting languages like Python, Unix Shell (bash/ksh), etc. and build/deployment tools like Jenkins, Chef, puppet would be a great plus.

·       AWS and or Azure certifications are preferred,

·       Strong Communication skills is a must.
