Our client, a renewable energy company, is seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Business Development Manager to spearhead acquiring enterprise clients. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen and business development skills to identify, engage, and secure partnerships with high-profile businesses seeking solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
- Identify and target large-scale businesses and organizations that would benefit from solar energy solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to secure new business and drive revenue growth.
2. Technical Expertise:
- Understand and communicate the technical aspects and benefits of solar energy systems to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the technical team to design tailored solar solutions that meet client needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and competitive landscape.
3. Sales and Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations and close deals with high-value clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
4. Market Research and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our client base.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance our platform and services.
5. Go-To-Market Strategy:
- Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success) to ensure alignment and effective execution.
6. Sales Enablement:
- Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as product demos, pitch decks, case studies, and FAQs.
- Train the sales team on product positioning and key messaging to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar.
- Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and solutions.
- Proven track record of securing and managing large client accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
