What To Expect

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you are responsible for overseeing target accounts across the United States, your primary mission is to win new business. In order to excel, you'll formulate and execute a comprehensive target account prospecting strategy, meticulously maintained within Salesforce. This strategy will encompass identifying, qualifying and prioritizing target accounts, developing a well-structured contact plan, and establishing an effective follow-up strategy. Your core responsibilities will revolve around generating new business opportunities, which will involve coordinating meetings directly, and through partnerships, engaging in cold outreach, and leveraging various communication channels. Your primary focus will be on the art of negotiation and the successful closure of deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Develop and maintain a well-defined target account prospecting plan, encompassing the identification of priority target accounts, a structured contact plan, and a robust follow-up strategy.
  • Partner Relationships: Align with Channel and Alliance partners, where necessary, to progress and close opportunities.
  • Quota Achievement: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed the annual sales quota.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats in order to adapt and tailor sales strategies accordingly, incorporating your own understanding of our product positioning.
  • Product Knowledge: Continuously develop a deep understanding of Amplience products and services, including their features and benefits, to become an expert in our offerings, enabling you to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers, and how they are a value add to address customer pain points.
  • Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospects and clients, showcasing our products and services, and effectively communicating the value of our solutions. Partner with our sales-savvy solution engineering team to win the customer.
  • Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software in order to track progress, prioritize opportunities, and provide timely and accurate business forecasts.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals while ensuring terms are mutually beneficial in order to meet or exceed sales quota.
  • Team Collaboration: Responsible for working closely and coordinating with the extended Amplience team (e.g. Pre-Sales, Product Marketing, Management, Account Development, etc.) to develop account strategies and plans, qualify and progress opportunities, and uncover technical problems and opportunities in order to achieve revenue goals.
  • Onsite Visits and Trade Shows: Travel regionally and nationally up to 50% of the time to meet with customers/prospects, attend trade shows, etc. Travel internationally up to 10% of the time.

What We Are Looking For

  • Motivated self-starter with a passion to win and grow.
  • Demonstrate all the behaviors associated with a high-performance sales culture, specifically managing a pipeline of new business opportunities, and delivering results against a quota.
  • A background in or familiarity with the Headless CMS space a plus, ability to grasp complex technical and business concepts is a must.
  • Proven track record of success selling into multi-stakeholder buying committees is a must, experience selling to C-level executives and senior key decision makers, in the mid-market or Enterprise is a plus.
  • 5+ years of software selling experience.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles using consultative selling.
  • Preferred experience using MEDDIC sales methodology and BANT principles.
  • Techniques; skilled in virtual presentations, remote and in-person sales processes.
  • Highly skilled at selling with partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools, Salesforce preferred.
  • Highly collaborative, "we're here to win" outlook, willingness to perform and get things done, strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $125,000/annually + Commission Incentive Pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
