This position is strongly preferred to be based in Santa Fe, NM but consideration will be given to remote candidates (with required travel), provided that the candidate resides in one of the following markets: Santa Fe, NM; Denver, CO; Las Vegas, NV; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. In-person work is critical to the creative practice at Meow Wolf and invaluable to the culture of our creative teams.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $156,340 to $220,440. Compensation is based on location and experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus of up to 20% of base salary. Bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on the successful achievement of pre-determined company and individual performance goals.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the VP, Project Delivery & Implementation leads the strategic delivery and execution processes of facility and show disciplines for new exhibitions, exhibition updates, and other special projects within the Meow Wolf Universe. This role demands outstanding leadership, superior organizational skills, keen process insight, innovative thinking, and a strong advocacy for the creative.
As the leader of the project delivery and implementation team, you will oversee and develop your team’s abilities in delivering Meow Wolf experiences that align with business objectives, scope management, resource planning, and overall delivery strategy. You will have an active role at an executive level in providing guidance for all Meow Wolf exhibition development projects throughout the lifecycle by developing standards and best practices, project phase deliverables, process flows and implementation plans. You will be responsible for risk management, approving strategy decisions, overseeing the contracting process, and ensuring your team is equipped with the skills needed to drive the development of new exhibitions through delivery.
This role requires a hands on approach. You will be accountable for, but not limited to: assessment of proposed development goals, oversight of project goals and milestones, status reports, risk assessment, and managing to overall financial targets.
Job Responsibilities:
You design the Meow Wolf project delivery and implementation strategy and approach.
● As a key exhibition development executive leader, you collaborate on and are responsible for the strategy, goals, priorities, risks identification, and risk mitigation of exhibition projects, as well as the processes and structures that will optimize overall project delivery and the effectiveness of our project teams.
● Develop consistent best practices and standards of design management across all projects for overall project strategy and methodology, contracts, bid process, requirements, documentation, external vendor relationships, external vendor strategy, make vs. buy decisions, budget and schedule.
● Develop project leadership design phase approval process that memorializes project goals (cost, schedule, and scope), execution strategy and project risks/mitigations at key phases of the project.
● Establish and implement formalized change management processes designed to assess cost and schedule impacts of scope change and obtain executive approval.
● Collaborate with leadership on project alignment to support the needs of the business.
● Contribute to the development of the Menu Planning Development for next 5+ years.
● Strategize scope and process flow for international projects.
You drive the delivery process to ensure Meow Wolf project success.
● Manage the project lifecycle with a focus on key performance indicators that allow for early detection and mitigation of project risks.
● Conduct audits of the project delivery process to ensure procedures are being
implemented and followed and that the project reporting process accurately reflects the status of the project.
● Oversee project leadership strategy updates along with guidance to the project team on feedback integration and recommendations.
● Support and guide project team leadership through the estimating process, vendor/GC /sub trade RFP process, and bid reviews with eye towards overall project delivery and execution plans.
● Align across project’s leadership team the prioritization on project timelines and deliverables.
● Approve major project change orders, contingency spends, and strategy pivots.
● Drive practices and oversight of risk and mitigation management, budget, schedule, estimating, delivery and production strategy.
● Have a constant eye towards opportunities for optimization and efficiencies.
● Builds relationships with all internal and external vendors during the design development, shop drawings, production and installation phases, including subcontractor coordination, architectural/engineering coordination, field art direction and sample programs for all show elements within scope.
You instill excellence into the Project Delivery & Implementation team.
● Manage department resource planning to ensure availability of talent and continuity of work to support exhibition development, sustainment, and other special projects or initiatives.
● Set and drive departmental goals and objectives that align with Company Strategy and Vision.
● Create opportunities for training and skill development in both soft and hard skills.
● Develop internal pipeline of promotion of providing growth opportunities and leadership development.
● Mentor your team’s abilities in driving development forward to delivery while aligning with business objectives, scope management, resource planning, production and fabrication management, installation practices, and overall delivery strategy.
● Provide effective individual feedback to your reports through substantive 1:1s and annual performance reviews, and other effective performance management strategies.
● Champion a culture of inclusion and belonging, feedback and recognition, transparency and communication, trust and collaboration, and delegation and empowerment.
