Overview

The Java CAP and BTP Consultant plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Java Composite Application Platform (CAP) and Business Technology Platform (BTP). They are responsible for analyzing business requirements and designing technical solutions to meet the specific needs of the organization. This position is vital in ensuring the seamless integration of various technologies and systems, enabling efficient business processes and enhancing overall performance.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Java CAP and BTP
Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications and services leveraging Java CAP and BTP
Participate in system integration, data migration, and application performance optimization
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends related to Java CAP and BTP
Document technical specifications, architecture designs, and deployment processes
Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities
Ensure the security and scalability of applications developed with Java CAP and BTP
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall enhancement of IT processes
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as required
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation

Required qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Java developer with a strong emphasis on Java CAP and BTP
Proficiency in developing and implementing applications using Java CAP and BTP
Hands-on experience with enterprise application integration and system architecture design
Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as SAP Cloud Platform, is a plus
Certifications in Java and related technologies are advantageous
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions
Experience with database integration and data modeling
Proficiency in security protocols and best practices for enterprise applications
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic work environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellence
