Job Description

Position Overview:

The Spa Supervisor at Fairmont Doha will oversee daily operations of the spa, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality. The role involves supervising spa staff, coordinating services, and ensuring that the spa operates smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. The Spa Supervisor will also assist in training, scheduling, and performance management of spa staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring all areas are well-maintained, clean, and ready for guests.
    • Monitor appointment bookings, manage guest flow, and ensure timely delivery of services.
    • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing issues promptly.
  • Staff Supervision:

    • Supervise and motivate spa therapists, receptionists, and other team members.
    • Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new staff members.
    • Develop and implement training programs to maintain high service standards.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Guest Experience:

    • Ensure all guests receive personalized and exceptional service.
    • Maintain a high level of guest engagement, addressing their needs and preferences.
    • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement improvements as needed.
  • Financial Management:

    • Assist the Spa Manager in managing the spa's budget, including cost control and revenue generation.
    • Track sales and service performance, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
    • Ensure accurate inventory management and product ordering.
  • Health & Safety:

    • Ensure all spa services and facilities comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
    • Implement and monitor safety protocols for both guests and staff.
  • Marketing & Promotion:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote spa services and special offers.
    • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a luxury spa or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in spa software and reservation systems.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and trends.

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in hospitality management, spa management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications in spa therapy or wellness practices are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with spa operations.
