The Territory Manager will drive profitable growth by building and developing strong business relationships with current and new Girl Scout council customers. This role will also work with sales leadership to engage in business development strategy and refine consulting services and tools for councils and volunteers. This position requires high emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively train at multiple levels.
Remote role with 10% travel
Responsibilities:
Meet or exceed sales goals
Develop and retain all current business within territory by engaging with clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services to drive growth
Build multi-tier relationships with Council leadership, product sale staff and volunteers
Negotiate contracts with current and prospective clients
Lead Councils in strategic planning for their cookie programs each season
Uncover opportunities, solve Council problems related to the cookie program
Model data-based decision making
Provide hands-on service and support for staff and volunteers
Provide cookie training at Council, Service Unit and Troop levels
Provide marketing consulting services, such as workshop facilitation, training, presentations, marketing planning and business planning
Manage forecasting, sales delivery and evaluation processes for territory
Conduct business analysis at Troop, Service Unit, Council and Territory level
Ensure Council compliance to ABC ways of work
Contribute to business and category planning and implementation
Assist in winning new business
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree and at least 3 years of experience in sales, customer service, training, and/or marketing preferred
Critical thinker with strong problem solving skills
Ability to develop and articulate plans and drive successful execution
Dedication to providing great customer service
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize
Highly self-motivated with ability to consistently achieve performance results
Competent with internet, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
