Job Description

The Senior Manager of the Vendor Management Office will require working with key leaders in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Envision teams across corporate units including Legal, Procurement, IT and Compliance as well as external resources, including vendors, consultants, and health industry peers to drive transformational efforts. This position supports the Revenue Cycle Management team to identify, develop, and implement vendor management across suppliers with emphasis on contract management. This is a remote position with about 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead contracting initiatives to include: drafting and redlining agreements and supporting RFP efforts
  • Assist RCM VMO, Procurement and Legal in negotiating and drafting of vendor contracts (MSA, BAA, NDA, SOW, amendments, Pilots and other agreements) on behalf of RCM
  • Gather information from internal teams to draft contract terms and conditions
  • Maintain libraries for key contract inputs i.e. (Roles and Responsibilities, SLAs, Pricing)
  • Work with compliance and other areas in managing contractual deliverables and obligations
  • Gather information from functional managers regarding vendors’ compliance with contractual terms and conditions, routine reports, and critical deliverables while assisting in the enforcement of vendor contracts by reviewing contracts with functional managers quarterly
  • Facilitate timely problem resolution of contractual issues and escalation to VMO director as needed
  • Assist in leading RFx initiatives for RCM as assigned to ensure the competitive bidding process is managed and supported in transition activities with the project management team
  • Lead functional area managers in the down selection process for RFx initiatives
  • Maintain RCM contract termination and expiration tracking
  • Manage contract compliance within the contracting process and post contract signature for key vendors
  • Manage contract reporting and actively report status to leaders, Procurement and Legal
  • Manage and maintain contract management processes and annual updates
  • Obtain clarification of contracts whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Procurement, Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with internal teams and third party vendors
  • Manage and establish 3 rd party vendor benchmarks, SLAs and KPIs
  • Oversee reporting for performance and risk management at a vendor or category level
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and vendors
  • Support the implementation of vendor governance across vendors including developing training programs and creating vendor related websites
  • Ability to establish and cultivate relationships with leadership and executives at a facility, group practice, and corporate level

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Must be able to independently manage the full lifecycle of a vendor relationship from contracting to project implementation to transition (as needed) with limited supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time (likely out on Sunday or Monday, back on Thursday or Friday); engagements in remote areas may require 2 weeks to 6 months of interim leadership and/or process re-engineering.
  • Must have a deep understanding of BPO and Software industry standards and develop the same for all of Envision’s standards for all functional areas of revenue cycle including rules that may be from a federal, state or local level which would affect billing and collection efforts.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills – must gain and sustain the confidence of the external stakeholders and internal clinical and business leadership.
  • Must be able to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in short timeframes
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple demands
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Must possess and allude “command presence” in order to gain the confidence and commitment necessary from the various departments and individuals necessary for shared efforts in process and change management.
  • Financial fluency so that you demonstrate adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail while being able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and transcribe accurately.
  • Able to lead individuals and teams who are operating concurrently on RCM integration and operations tasks

Education/Experience

  • 5+ years experience in BPO or Revenue Cycle and Software
  • 5+ years experience in contract management
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College
  • Contract Management experience required
  • Vendor Management background highly preferred
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management in large, multi-state, integrated healthcare settings
  • Strong analytical and relationship building skills

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite – primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel including the use of pivot tables
  • Experience with contract management systems, Oracle, etc.

Certificates And Licenses

  • Vendor Management or Project Management certification (preferred, not required)
