Position: Program Manager

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated,
French speaking and experienced Program Manager to ensure the most value for our Nexus Accelerator Fund (NAF) programs across 5-6 countries in fragile contexts with the highest impact.
As a member of World Vision Canada’s (WVC) Program Excellence & Impact Delivery team, you will hold a portfolio of Nexus programs and serve as the main liaison between World Vision Canada and our Field Offices. You will participate in proposal/program design processes alongside our Business Development and Philanthropy teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring that impact communications and impact data from all the programs you represent are available in a timely manner. You will also be part of a community of practice for knowledge sharing with other practitioners across the Program Excellence & Impact Delivery team.
You will work collaboratively with other teams in World Vision Canada and World Vision International to ensure that programmatic and donor expectations are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure strategic alignment, integration and program quality of all NAF investments within an assigned portfolio of Nexus programs in fragile contexts.
- Provide strategic direction and overall management oversight to programs to ensure the timely delivery of program results and reports, and the management of risks through effective engagement with field offices, partners and other stakeholders.
- With support from the MEAL specialist, ensure the availability and quality of activity and context monitoring data, channel information, and assist with the adaptation of program activities and budgets to support emerging needs.
- Ensure donor compliance is met and all MOUs and agreements are followed for the duration of the program implementation period.
- Support the Knowledge Management Specialist with documenting and disseminating program resources and learnings within World Vision Canada and across the Partnership.
- Liaise with program teams on a regular cadence and conduct country monitoring visits where possible.
- In partnership with relevant teams, be a champion for impact, to ensure that impact communications and impact data are delivered to public and private donors/supporters in new and innovative ways utilizing digital tools and technology.
- Actively identify in country needs in partnership with Field Offices, for potential Nexus funding opportunities and program innovations, support local prospecting and engage in proposal development teams.
- Support fundraising efforts of marketing teams seeking to test new products and gather impact resources through resource gathering/filming trips and donor field trips.
- Engage in communities of practice based on areas of expertise to share knowledge and improve programming effectiveness and impact.
- Ensure safeguarding best practices are upheld and any incidents appropriately reported for all programs/projects implemented and through all external consultants/donors visiting the project locations.
Qualifications:
- University Degree (Masters preferred) in a field related to international or community/social development
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, including in overseas locations
- Experience in fragile and nexus programming, specifically in agile program management
- Demonstrated skills and capacity in proposal development and grant management
- Understanding and experience working with major donors and public donors
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, written and oral
- Detail oriented with ability to work with project documents (i.e. reports, budgets, logical frameworks) and provide quality feedback
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-organizationally and cross-culturally to ensure alignment and realization of strategic goals
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative with confidence and sound judgement while managing several moving parts simultaneously
- Ability to travel internationally at least once per year, including to high-risk environments
