Position Summary
Your Impact:
As a Collection Specialist you play an important part of the ASP EMEA Credit and Customer Financing team and you will work remotely from Spain (preferred) or Portugal.
You will be part of a dynamic and growing team and responsible for the daily Collection activities of Spain and other markets in EMEA.
There will be lots of opportunities for development and learning in this fast-moving and results-orientated company which places a heavy emphasis on continuous improvement both for the company and you.
Duties And Responsibilities
Under limited supervision and general direction and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Investigate historical data for aged debt
- Contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
- Take actions to encourage timely payments.
- Resolve financial disputes and customer credit block issues.
- Update account status records and collection efforts
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Any other assigned work by your management team.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Education
Middle Degree level in Accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree in finance and Accounting
Years Of Related Experience
Minimum of 2.5 years of practical experience in a similar role
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses, And Affiliations
(Include any required computer skills, regulatory knowledge, certifications, licenses, languages, cognitive and behavioral abilities etc.)
- English and Spanish Mandatory, any other European or Middle East languages good to have.
- Highly detailed oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on and can-do mentality
- Ability to travel and visit customers on site
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties
- At least 2 years of SAP Experience (FI and CM)
- Microsoft Excel skills
