Summary:
The Pricing Specialist is responsible for updating and maintaining the pricing system by communicating consistently to ensure customers receive accurate pricing for purchased items. This position also prepares pricing and gross profit reporting to contribute to meeting the Company’s mission of high-quality service and developing and marketing high-quality brands and running best-in-class operations. The Pricing Specialist also supports the Company’s Commercial Pricing function.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicates with business units as necessary when product lines and pricing changes are in order.
  • Prepares price quotes for control states as well as applies for NABCA (National Alcoholic Beverage Control Association) codes.
  • Updates and maintains price structure data in VIP Pricing 2.0 module.
  • Performs cross references and audits of distributor data vs PPC pricing data.
  • Runs VIP depletion and inventory reports to prepare price increase templates.
  • Prepares and submits price changes to price posting states.
  • Completes credit/rebill as a correction when pricing is not communicated accurately.
  • Updates customers’ purchase allowances and qualifiers in pricing system when appropriate.
  • Reviews customer purchase orders and resolves pricing discrepancies using the Oracle system.
  • Prepares pricing and gross profit reports for sales personnel and management as assigned.
  • Ensures all pricing information is maintained accurately and in compliance with state regulations and requirements by partnering with internal and external government regulations personnel.
  • Enters and maintains set freight rates.
  • Updates commission files and modifiers in the system.
  • Prepares monthly accrual for commissions and processes check requests when commissions become due.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

  • Must have computer/technology knowledge and skills necessary to perform job responsibilities, including demonstrated proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and detail in completing work assignments.
  • Must have the ability to work with sensitive information, maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
  • Must be knowledgeable of debit/credit accounting principles.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
  • 1+ years of related experience or a combination of accounting post-secondary schooling and related work experience.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Work Location & Travel Required:
The Pricing Specialist works a hybrid work schedule, reporting to the Princeton location as needed. Minimal travel required (<5%).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting (home office or company site). This position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time, including the dexterity to frequently type on a keyboard.
