Tangonet Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist with a focus on Database Administration (DBA) to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position exclusively for candidates residing in Argentina. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English and possess extensive experience in managing and optimizing database systems to support our clients’ data infrastructure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems.
- Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of databases.
- Conduct regular database performance tuning and optimization.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures.
- Data Security:
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance.
- Monitor database systems for security breaches and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
- Work closely with the development team to integrate database solutions with applications.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor database performance and usage trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of database security practices and data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in database administration.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing large-scale database systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Language: Proficiency in English is a must, both written and spoken.
