GitHub is seeking a passionate and experienced leader to spearhead our Japan Sales team. You'll be responsible for attracting top talent, fostering a dynamic team environment, driving significant revenue growth and partnering closely with the Microsoft Japan Business to accelerate our joint sales strategy.

Responsibilities:
Lead a Dream Team: Hire, develop, and coach a diverse team of Account Executives, fostering a culture of high performance and exceeding customer expectations.
Strategic Leadership: Develop data-driven territory and team plans, identifying market opportunities and exceeding business objectives.
Thought Leadership: Represent GitHub at industry events, fostering strong relationships with customers, partners, and Microsoft peers.
Operational Excellence: Implement strong operational standards, ensuring efficient business management and mitigating risks.
Collaborative Spirit: Work seamlessly across cross-functional teams (Sales Development, Solution Engineering, Channel & Marketing) to showcase the immense value proposition of GitHub.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth, ideally in the tech industry
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment
- Experience working with a channel / partner ecosystem
- English and Japanese fluency
Preferred Qualification:
- Continuously analyzes, refines, and scales the Corporate sales strategy in Japan, adapting to both market dynamics and business needs, to ensure long-term success.
- Demonstrates a strong customer focus and unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional experiences.
- Possesses a keen ability to assess and actively promote the needs of the team, fostering a growth mindset, with emphasis on personal development & performance coaching
