About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled animator to create a heartfelt 2-minute animated short film for a project. The animation will depict the life journey of a dog, from puppyhood to his final days, alongside a boy growing into young adulthood and his parents. The style should be a distinctive animation work, and the piece will be set to the melody of a piano composition from a well-known French film soundtrack. This project offers creative freedom and flexibility in timeline.

Responsibilities:

• Create a 2-minute animated short film in a style inspired by Raymond Briggs
• Develop character designs for the dog, the boy, and his parents at various life stages
• Animate the growth and aging of both dog and the human characters
• Choreograph animation to complement the specified musical piece

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D animation
• Strong portfolio showcasing ability to convey emotion and storytelling through animation
• Proficiency in relevant animation software
• Ability to animate both human and animal characters effectively
